Funny Boy

I don't know what it is about this little boy lately, but he has been bringing a lot of laughter into our home.

Here are a couple conversations that took place yesterday...

Mommy: ::grabbing Jacobs naked little tushie and tickling him:: That's my tushie!
Jacob: No, Mom! That's my too-shee!
Mommy: No, it's mine! I made it!
Jacob: You made my butt?

Daddy: Are you my little pumpkin seed?
Jacob: No, Dad. Pumpkin seeds are in the yard!

I walk into Jacobs room and find Jacob and Emma playing with a, um, well, personal product...
Mommy: Jacob What are you doing?!
Jacob: Look Mom, it's a whistle! See!





And yes, Jacob's room is a disaster. With two of them in there playing during the day now, the room gets distroyed in minutes. Literally.

Tennesse Aquarium

Hello there!

I've been really slow at posting lately. Life has been pretty busy and I just have not found the time to do many updates.

Mike's sister and two younger neices just came to visit. We got to spend some time with them and even made a trip to the Nashville Aquarium in Chattanooga. Jacob was so excited about it. The morning before we left he sat up in bed and the first words out of his mouth were, "Go to the aquarium, see the big fishies!" This boy has an awesome memory.

I've also recently opened up a new Etsy shop. I'm pretty excited about it. I felt like I needed a change and a new beginning-- and so began Emmylou & Jake!

I will still be keeping The Art of Valerie up and running, however it will feature newborn hats and photo props for photographers. I'm still in the process of phasing over hats and adding new ones.

I'm going to be working with two photographers. Laci with Barefeet Photography and Kelly with Kelly Cicero Photography . I'm very excited to see what both of these talented women come up with.

In other "business" news, some of my hats will be available to purchase at Baby Icing Boutique. Baby Icing Boutique is located in Burlington, WA. I'm very excited to be working with them!

The little ones are calling for me now. Actually Emma is screaming at the door and throwing her cup at me, Jacob is asking me if he can play the drums, and Mike just called to discuss dinner.
